The UbicMedia PUMit System
The UbicMedia PUMit system suite is a complete management solution allowing to set access rights individually for each of your properties. Even once content is already distributed, rights or full activation/desactivation of the content can be modified in real time by time, region, groups etc... Every action of the PUMit Reader such as play, fast forward, pause etc... are recorded in the PUMit database and viewing habits can be visualized graphically.

The UbicMedia PUMit Writer
The UbicMedia PUMit is a SaaS WEB application that allows content to be "PUMed" by its Rights holder from his/her machine. Although only less than 1% of this file is modified, the whole file is sufficiently modified to loose all its commercial value. The original never leaves the Right holder's machine during the process. After this process, the modified file can be safely distributed on any channel (P2P, files sharing sites, DVD, USB key, HD...) with a 100% protection guaranty. Once the end user reads the file, PUMit reader will automatically check the current rights online and get the modification information in real time. So, if the end user already has the file, the reading will only require a modest connection (RTC like) to be streamed.

The UbicMedia PUMit Reader
The UbicMedia PUMit reader is a self contained standalone reader that allows the insertion of customized jingle, teaser, preview and marketing links of the file. It is not a streaming reader but a progressive download reader, it means that the content can be viewed after a few seconds and the on-going download can happen simultaneously or unattended. No actions can be taken by the reader alone: the PUMit System architecture uses a parallel server infrastructure to authorize any action of the reader. This also means that all those actions are stored in a database.
